My Magpul 7.62 AC P-Mag won't latch? 

Magpul's website says that using their magazines in other manufacturer's chassis or bottom metal may require fitting.  

It entirely depends on the action. It will work correctly on a Remington 700 action, but all other platforms will require modifications.
